Houston Ballet Cancels Performances
Houston Ballet Artistic Director Stanton Welch announced today that due to the threat posed by hurricane Rita, Houston ballet will cancel its performances of Mentors & Prodigy on Thursday Sept. 22 @ 7:30pm, Saturday Sept. 24 @ 7:30pm, and Sunday Sept. 25 @ 2:00pm.
Tickets to the canceled performances will be honored at the later Houston Ballet perfomance. Ticket holders to the canceled performance should call Houston Ballet's box office at Wortham Ticket Center at 713-227-2787 on Monday, Sept. 26 for more information.

Good luck to the city of Houston and all the Gulf area in regards to Rita. After Katrina those of us who live more inland, and don't deal with this sort of thing, have realized how devastating an event like this can be. Everyone will be in our thoughts and prayers.
